Here's a very authentic Mexican lunch truck ("lonchera") that can be found at the intersection of Sterling and Holland in Irvine, just off of Muirlands Blvd. Its hours are approximately 7:30am - 2:30pm during the week. I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't pointed out to me by a faithful reader. I haven't been able to find a single thing about this truck online so far.
I've made a number of trips there and have always engaged in conversation with the friendly owner (Armando?). And I've always seen people driving up and talking with the owner as though they've known him forever. You've got to ask him what they are cooking each day because it varies.
