Here's Rustan's take on Trejo's in Huntington Beach, coupled with photos I took myself during a different visit:

Trejo's Sabroza Mexican food is just what the title says - delicious Mexican food. My Mexican friend and I walked there for the lunch today.

It's small – which is a good thing – as soon as you walk in the door, you're standing at a steam table with many of the offerings staring you in the face. And that makes making a decision so much fun. The pollo ranchero – glistening in its own juices, is sitting next to a huge pile of sweating carnitas. At the other end of the table, the beans and rice are piping hot, next to a platter of chilaquiles.

All of the food looked great. My buddy got the chilaquiles with a chili verde topping – not your usual combination, but it went well together. Having a salsa bar, with a container of chopped onions, cilantro, lime wedges, radishes, jalapenos and carrots is a welcome addition.

I got a carnitas torta and, while it was very good, I wish I would have ordered the roasted chicken – I'm still salivating from those chickens glistening on the steam table.

All the seats inside the restaurant were full – everyone seemed very happy and if there were meals were like ours, I'm sure they were.
